Completing the Square
The technique of completing the square can be used when the equation cannot be factorised.
As the steps are the same each time, this pattern lends itself to a formula, the formula known as “the quadratic formula”
Note: I changed the +7 to a – 7 in case you are wondering what I am talking about in the slidecast!!!

Simultaneous Equations
When you have the same number of unkowns as you do equations, it should be possible to find the unknowns. (Assuming that no equation is a multiple of another).
